Privacy Policy – EPF Balance, UAN & Salary Calc

This Privacy Policy explains how the EPF Balance, UAN & Salary Calc app ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App on your Android device. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Data stored on your device

All financial data you enter — including EPF/PF balance history, bank balance history, Money Manager transactions, budgets, goals, and calculator history — is stored only on your device in the app's local storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

This data is included in Android's Auto Backup feature and may be backed up to your personal Google Drive account, governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

2. Data collected automatically

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect data automatically:

• Google Firebase Analytics – collects anonymised usage data (screens viewed, features used, device type, OS version) to help us understand how the App is used. No personally identifiable information is collected. See Firebase Privacy.
• Google AdMob – displays advertisements. AdMob may use your advertising ID and approximate location to show relevant ads. See Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device Settings → Google → Ads.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging – used to send optional push notifications. No personal data is collected beyond the device token needed to deliver the notification.
• Firebase Remote Config – used to update app configuration (such as supported banks and PF numbers) without requiring an app update. No personal data is collected.

3. Live currency rates

When you use the Currency Converter, the App sends the currency codes you select (e.g. "USD", "INR") to frankfurter.app, a free public exchange-rate service, to retrieve the latest rate. No personal information is sent.

4. Checking balances by SMS

To check your EPF (Provident Fund) or bank balance, the App opens your device's own SMS app with the enquiry message pre-filled — you review and send it yourself, and enter the balance from the reply manually. The App does not request SMS permissions and never reads your SMS.

5. Permissions

• INTERNET – required to fetch live currency rates, load advertisements, and sync Firebase Analytics and Remote Config.

The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, or SMS.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data retention

Data stored on your device remains until you uninstall the App or clear its data. Anonymised analytics data retained by Firebase is subject to Firebase's retention policy.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
